Consulting for Retail and Azerbaijani retailer BRAVO have completed a pilot shelf space management project

 The BRAVO supermarket chain and Consulting for Retail have completed a shelf space management project based on Symphony RetailAI's Shelf Planning solution.

Shelf Planning is shelf space management that allows you to easily combine statistical modeling with customer behavior and key business drivers to create shelf layouts that meet customer needs. By adhering to inventory rules, physical constraints, and a merchandising strategy in managing shelf space, significant efficiencies can be achieved that will provide an even greater ROI.

BRAVO has set the following goals for C4R specialists:

- Optimize and control the assortment under the existing shelf space in stores;
- Reduce labor costs of store employees through optimization of the layout;
- Automate processes by fully integrating the system for creating planograms with ERP.

The cooperation of retail network with Consulting for Retail began with a project to support the current accounting system since BRAVO has been working on the GOLD SR solution for more than 5 years. In the summer of 2020, the company's management decided to optimize the assortment and reduce the labor costs of employees through the automation and integration of planograms and ERP,” said Farid Movlazade, Representative of Consulting for Retail in Azerbaijan.

The shelf space management project started in August 2020. The implementation of the display management project is not only a strategic decision of the company in terms of developing a partnership with Symphony Retail, but also a consequence of the active growth of the chain itself. The increase in the number of outlets leads to the need to better manage the display and improve the level of assortment management,” said Robert Rishko, Head of Sales and Marketing at Consulting For Retail.

The project team completed the pilot in 4.5 months and is currently deploying the solution to all stores and categories. Full implementation of shelf space management is completed by July 2021.

“Together with our partner C4R, we have developed a detailed project plan, defined its boundaries, pilot categories, and stores, calculated metrics for assessing the effectiveness of display and project success criteria, which will allow us not only to beautifully display goods on the shelf but also to understand the effectiveness of each category. ", - summed up Nailya Bagirova, IT-director of the BRAVO network.
