C4R starts collaboration with TOIMART with a shelf space management project

The Consulting For Retail (C4R) team does not stop developing, opening new markets, and developing cooperation. Thus, a large retail network of Kazakhstan, TOIMART, joined the number of C4R customers. In June 2021, an agreement was signed and our first joint project on category management process management was launched.

The TOIMART retail network includes 26 supermarkets in Almaty and the region. This is the first retailer in Kazakhstan, in supermarkets of which all types of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks from all over the world are presented, a wide range of food products, confectionery, and household chemicals at wholesale prices. The popularity of the trading network is growing and with it the number of retail outlets. An effective tool is needed to manage the assortment and display of goods in a large network.

The company held a tender and opted for the C4R solution and the Symphony RetailAI - Space Management system, which were ahead of the competition on several criteria.

As part of the project, the C4R team is implementing a shelf space management system from a well-known vendor - Symphony, and a proprietary system that ensures the delivery of planograms to supermarkets and confirmation of their implementation.

The main goals of the project:

  • exclude the possibility of an assortment surplus relative to the shelf space;
  • development and implementation of a unified concept for displaying goods in the chain's supermarkets.

The shelf space management system makes it possible to visualize the assortment on the shelf, taking into account the financial indicators of each product and the decision tree, and the delivery of planograms simplifies their implementation in supermarkets.

As a result, after the implementation of the IT solution, the following tasks will be solved

  • stock of goods has been normalized;
  • frozen investments are minimized;
  • increased availability of goods on the shelf/

At the moment, the stage of formation of TO-BE business processes has been completed, now the project is going through the stage of integration with the accounting system of the trading network. The project is designed for 3.5 months.
